Hello, I apologise for not writing for what seems like a long time. But it was for a good reason.
I’ve been overwhelmed the past few months by an unending string of work events, and have been travelling to and fro for film shoots. As the pulse of work heightened, I became so terribly sure I would not complete my tarot certification with Biddy Tarot. I could not even find the time to write for Gentle Tarot, which troubled me.
The course work for certification was reasonable. But part of the certification process included finishing 20 free tarot readings, which I struggled to complete due to two things: my schedule, and my reading style. The first can’t be helped, of course. But my style of tarot reading (which included the study of astrological elements) was slowing me down considerably. As I had a tendency to be hampered by analysis paralysis, I had to learn to simplify and streamline my tarot reading process in order to catch up.
However, the Biddy Tarot team were incredibly encouraging in my final lap. With a last burst of optimism, I somehow managed to successfully complete the course.
And, as of today, I’m a certified tarot reader. There’s even a snazzy badge that comes with the certification, which makes me smile:

Getting certified has been a long but worthwhile process.
So was it worth getting certified as a tarot reader?
Yes!
Look at it this way. As little as a year ago, I had owned a pack of tarot cards for two decades without knowing how to interpret them very well.
Today, my understanding of my decks has deepened considerably, and I have developed such an appreciation for the guidance the cards can provide. Not only that, but my learnings from the course are also incredibly useful for my everyday life. I became more confident in my personal instincts, and more forgiving of the process – be it in my tarot reading journey, or the challenges I face at work.
I haven’t written much about my learning journey with Brigit at Biddy Tarot, which I regret, because the entire process has been both challenging and enlightening. But signing up for the course was was the kick in the butt I needed to take myself seriously and start Gentle Tarot. And since then I’ve helped more people than I ever imagined I ever could.
What’s next for Gentle Tarot?
You may notice I’m still not accepting readings at this moment – this is because I’m still offering free tarot readings at Biddy Tarot, and also because I’d like the time to write for Gentle Tarot before going back to tarot reading. But the natural next step for me would be, of course, to offer gentle tarot readings on this website. This will happen in good time!
That said, I’d also like to thank the few people who subscribed to Gentle Tarot – I’m really grateful to reach out to others, wherever you may be. Much love to you all.
Do comment if you have any questions regarding certification or Biddy Tarot. I may do a more in-depth review of the course soon if there is enough interest. In the meantime, please be on the lookout for more of gentle guidance in the next few months.
If you’re a tarot enthusiast, don’t hesitate to take it further:
